Thursday 15th February 2007 - Regular Meeting The lodge was opened in due and ancient form. RWM Bro Ian Redpath took the chair Apologies were received on behalf of PM G Murray Acting DOC Bro Dick Ralston presented Bro R Clemence RWM 1601 Visitations were reported by Bros Tom Doherty PM, T Duncan ME, R Gemmill PM and J Mushet PM Minutes of the last regular meeting and committee meeting were read and approved. A large deputation of Reigning Masters from Lodges within and outwith the province was received headed by the RWM of Lodge Hopebridgecastle 827 Bro Charles Lamb. The
1st degree this evening was to be worked by the seven Sponsor lodges
with the asistance of 1186 Office bearers doing the floor work. Candidate for this evening was Bro T Pollock A total of 87 brethren were present. Lodges represented: 85, 270, 374, 781, 827, 877, 927, 1096, 1175,1272, 1601, 1614 and 1658 AOB: The RWM was warmly thanked for his term in Office by PM M Robertson.

A small, mixed deputation from within the province was received headed by the RWM of 374 Bro Hugh Allan A large deputation from Lodge Hopebridgecastle No 827 was received headed by their RWM Bro Charles Lamb Lodge Hopebridgecastle had been invited to confer the 2nd Degree on 1 candidate. Candidate for this evening was Bro D Drummond (MM of 374) A total of 60 brethren were present. A small, mixed deputation from within the province was received headed by the DM of 1601 Bro John Clarkson A large deputation from Lodge Scotia Glasgow No 178 was received headed by their RWM Bro Tony Robertson Lodge Scotia had been invited to confer the Mark Degree on 2 candidates. Candidates for this evening were Bros Tom Pollock and Stuart Allen (MM's of 1186) A total of 40 brethren were present. Thursday 21st December 2006 - Regular Meeting The lodge was opened in due and ancient form. RWM Bro Ian Redpath took the chair Apologies were received on behalf of Bros J Robertson PM, R Stewart PM, R Carmichael PM, D Ralston PM & T Purdie DM Acting DOC Bro Ronald Gemmill presented Bros Jim Hilditch PM DM 927 HM 1186 & Alex Sweeney PM of Lodge Ibrox 1272 Visitations were reported by Bros Tom Doherty PM (3 lodges in one evening, never got into any!), A McLachlan PM, M Robertson PM and the RWM Minutes of the last regular meeting and committee meeting were read and approved. A small, mixed deputation from within the province was received headed by the RWM of 1601 Bro Robert Clemence A large deputation from Lodge St Andrews Livingston Station No 1587 was received headed by their IPM Bro Alan Rae Lodge St Andrews Livingston Station had been invited to confer the 2nd Degree on 1 candidate. Candidate for this evening was Bro Alan White EA of 1186 A total of 44 brethren were present. Lodges represented: 31, 272, 374, 927, 1272, 1587 & 1601 AOB: WSW wished the RWM and his good lady all the best over the festive period.
Thursday 7th December 2006 - AGM The lodge was opened in due and ancient form. RWM Bro Ian Redpath took the chair Apologies were received on behalf of Bros Robert Stewart PM & Robert Carmichael PM Acting DOC Bro Dick Ralston presented Bro Alex Sweeney PM of Lodge Ibrox 1272 Visitations were reported by Bros Tom Doherty PM, Tom Duncan PM, Jim Robertson PM, Ronnie Gemmill PM and the RWM Minutes of the last regular meeting and committee meeting were read and approved. The
brother treasurer Norman McL:ean PM then detailed the Lodge balance
sheets and accounts which were warmly welcomed and approved. As this
is the last year in office for both the Treasurer and Secretary (Bro
John Denholm PM) both were thanked for their endeavours and sterling
work during their terms in office. The Lodge was then Raised and the nomination and election of Office Bearers took place. (view here for 2007/08) A total of 20 brethren were present. Lodges represented: 1272 AOB: Test fees are now due (15 pounds). The lodge will subsidise the remainder (10 pounds)

Stuart Allen, Robert Stewart PM, Ronnie Gemmill PM Visitations were reported by Bros Andy McLachlan PM, Alan Borsbey PM, Murray Robertson on behalf of Jim Robertson PM and the RWM The RWM reported passing of Bros Thomas White PM and Bro Billy Caldwell (Affiliate member) A Minutes silence was held as a mark of respect for these two well known and respected brethren. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Bro John Grant thanked the lodge for the Get Well card he had received from the lodge. A large deputation from Lodge Kirktonhall 1614 was received headed by their RWM Bro David Andrew Lodge Kirktonhall had been invited to confer the 3rd Degree on 1 candidate. Candidate for this evening was Bro Darren Drummond (MM374) A total of 42 brethren were present. Thursday 2nd November 2006 - Regular Meeting The lodge was opened in due and ancient form. RWM Bro Ian Redpath took the chair Apologies were received on behalf of the candidate for this evening Bro Alan White Visitations were reported by Bro.Thomas Doherty IPM, Bro Thomas Duncan PM and Bro John Mushet PM Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Sickness reports were received on behalf of Bro Tam White PM DOC who has recently suffered a stroke, Bro John Grant HM in hospital with internal bleeding. Bro Robert Carmichael PM is in good spirits. A large mixed deputation from Lodges within and outwith the province was received headed by the RWM of St John Crofthead Fauldhouse No 374 Bro Brian Clark. Another Deputation was received from Lodge Salfire No1505 Glasgow headed by their RWM Bro Billy Young A total of 49 brethren were present. Thanks were received from the RWM 's of Lodges 374 and 1456 (lodge Camelon) AOB:- Bro secretary to contact Linburn to see if the dominoes tournament is still on following the revelations of Bro John Grant
Lodge St James Harthill will be holding a Lodge of Sorrow for the late
Junior Colligan on Wednesday 15th November at 7pm.
The Lodge will also be visiting St James Harthill on the 6th December
to confer the 2nd degree.
Thursday 19th October 2006 - Regular Meeting The lodge was opened in due and ancient form. A large deputation from Lodge Blackridge 1145 was received headed by their RWM Bro John Wells. Lodge Blackridge had been invited to confer the 1st Degree on 1 candidate. The Lodge will be visiting Linburn for their annual dominoes match on
the 7th Nov. Provincial visitation confirmed for 15th March 2007
374 annual ball (celebrating 150yrs) to be held on 17th Nov in
Fauldhouse.Tickets 15 pounds.

Apologies were received on behalf of 6 brethren Visitations were reported by Bro.Thomas Doherty IPM, Bro Ronnie Gemmill PM and RWM Bro Ian Redpath . Minutes of the last regular meeting, committee meeting and inquiry meeting were read and approved. Sickness report received on behalf of Bro Robert Carmichael PM and Bro Joe Fowler. Ballot on behalf of Mr Alan White residing in Blackburn was taken and found clear. Mr White will be invited to the next regular meeting of the lodge to participate in the 1st degree. A large deputation from Lodge Almondale 1658 (Craigshill, Livingston) was received headed by their RWM Bro Adam Laurie Lodge Almondale had been invited to confer the 2nd Degree. Bro Darren Drummond MM of 374 stood in as candidate Lodges Represented at the meeting:- 272,374, 590, 1272, 1587, 1656 and 1658 A total of 36 brethren were present. AOB:-
Lodge has been asked to confer the 2nd degree at Lodge Lord Bruce on
Monday 9th October. This was accepted by the Brethren.
Thursday 21st Sept 2006 - Regular Meeting The lodge was opened in due and ancient form. RWM Bro Ian Redpath took the chair Bro Jack Alexander RWM of St John Shotts 471 was presented to the RWM. Apologies were received on behalf of 5 brethren Visitations were reported by Bro.Thomas Doherty IPM, Bro Norrie McLean PM and RWM Bro Ian Redpath . Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. No sickness report. A large deputation from Lodge Lord Bruce 1601 (Blackburn) was received headed by their RWM Bro Eddie Drysdale Bro Robert Clemence WSW 1601 and Master Elect was congratulated and warmly welcomed into the lodge. Lodge Lord Bruce had been invited to confer the 1st Degree. Bro.John Mushet PM stood in as candidate Lodges Represented at the meeting:- 374, 427, 471, 484, 782, 927 and 1601 A total of 35 brethren were present. Inquiry meeting to be held in the Masonic on Monday 25th Sept 2006 at 7pm.
Thursday 7th Sept 2006 - Regular Meeting The
lodge was opened in due and ancient form. Bro Thomas Duncan PM (acting
RWM) stood in for RWM Bro Ian Redpath who was on holiday. A minutes silence was observed for Bros. McKenzie Mushet and William "Junior" Colligan. Apologies were received on behalf of 8 brethren Visitations were reported by Bros. Ronald Gemmill WSW and Bro Thomas Doherty IPM and Bro Thomas Duncan PM. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. One Petition to join the lodge was read. Lodges Represented at the meeting:- 236, 374, 927,1145, 1505 and 1614 A total of 31 brethren were present. Apologies
were received on behalf of Lodge St John Shotts 471 who were supposed
to work the degree this evening. Due to a shortage of office bearers
they could not attend. The brethren of St John Stoneyburn worked an exemplification 2nd degree. Candidate for this evening was Bro. Jim Walker PM Bro
Joe Wells MM 1186 was warmly welcomed back into the lodge on his short
visit back to Scotland. Joe moved to Whitby in 1986 and is a joining
member of the Caedmon Lodge 6965 EC and Streonshalh Mark MM Lodge 337
of E&W. Bro John Mushet personally thanked the lodge on behalf
of his mother Jenny, for the Cards and Flowers following the passing of
his father Bro McKenzie Mushet. One nomination has been received for RWPGM:- Bro Ken Lindsay
Thursday 31st Aug 2006 - Business Meeting The
lodge was opened in due and ancient form. Bro Thomas Duncan PM (acting
RWM) stood in for RWM Bro Ian Redpath who was on holiday. As this was a
business meeting no visitors were in attendance. A turn out of 14
brethren were present. Apologies were received on behalf of 7 brethren. Visitations were reported by Bros. Ronald Gemmill WSW and Bro Thomas Doherty IPM. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Minutes of the Committee meetings dated 24th April and 28th August were read and approved. Various
correspondence was read, most notably from Grand Lodge of
Scotland regarding the annual installation and festival of St Andrew to
be held on the 30th November in Freemasons hall Edinburgh, then buffet
banquet at the Sheriton Grand hotel in Edinburgh. Ticket price £45
exclusive of wines. Payment to be made before 18th October. A thank
you card was read from Catherine Colligan, widow of the late William
"Junior" Colligan (honourary member of the lodge). Also an excerpt from
Bro Frank Haas (Grand Master of West Virginia) was presented to the
lodge acknowledging the recent death of Bro. McKenzie Mushet. Article to follow.
